Esthee Wong is a somatics-oriented Pilates, GYROTONIC®, and dance teacher. Born in Singapore, she holds a Business Degree, and had started a multinational manufacturing company before she turned 35. She started dancing and Pilates to combat the burnout from endless hours in the office, and manage her Ankylosing spondylitis.
In 2009, she decided to switch to dance and movement education as a career, opening a dance studio in Singapore, and eventually becoming a finalist in the Asian Salsa Championship in 2012. Since then, Esthee focused on somatics-oriented dance and movement education, getting certified in various modalities of Pilates and GYROTONIC®. After moving to Las Vegas in 2015, she pursued a formal degree in dance at UNLV.
On any given day, you are likely to find Esthee in one of the numerous Vegas studios, dancing ballet, jazz, tap, flamenco, west coast swing, zouk, salsa, or tango.
Esthee enjoys working with clients of all ages and levels of experience, from kids to professional dancers to seniors and people with special needs. Her guiding principle is always the same: enhance the freedom and joy of movement through developing a deeper awareness of how our mind and body work together. Her classes are known for creative use of props, focus on mindfulness and visualization, and exploration of movement potential.
